NRC Counsellor participates in National Counsellor Workshop

Jan, Sr. Lecturer and Counsellor of Norbuling Rigter College, Paro participated in the two days National workshop for Counsellors organized by Bhutan Board for Certified Counsellors on September 28-29, 2017.
Jan said that this has helped him to understand counselling in the Bhutanese context. He also added: “I as a College counsellor have to be proactive and reach out to the students more actively rather than waiting for them to walk into my office.”
Jan plans to initiate services focusing on “confidence, self-awareness, preparing for examinations, stress and related symptoms, among others”.
