Mr. Wim Lauwaert, Senior Lecturer, has a MA in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam. He completed his DMA from the Royal Conservatory Brussels.

After completing his DMA, he has worked as a performing musician, among others, in the Royal Opera ‘De Munt’ in Brussels, the New Belgian Chamber Orchestra, the Beethoven Academy, the Flemish Opera in Antwerp and Ghent and the Antwerp Philharmonic, and has given chamber music master classes for more than 20 years in France.He has worked in the Advanced Bachelor Global Citizenship and Development at the University College Leuven-Limburg as lecturer and practice lecturer for Bhutan, India and Sri Lanka since 2015.
The combination of his research, academic, artistic and personal communication experiences will contribute meaningfully to the academic and personal development of the students.
