Dr. Vansanglura has done Post-Doctoral Research on Gifted Education at Teachers College, Columbia University (Ivy Leaque), New York City, USA (2010-2011 academic year). He completed Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education in the year 2006, and also done Doctor of Theology (ThD) in 2008. He finished Master of Arts in Education (First Class) in 1995. In 1993, he completed Bachelor of Arts and Hons in Education (1991 & 1992 respectively), and Bachelor of Christian Studies (BCS) in 2005.

He worked as a Principal and CEO, Serampore College (University), West Bengal, India during 2015-2024. During this period, he was the President of College Faculty (Governing Body) from 2015 – 2024. He was also the Secretary, Council of Serampore College (University) from 2015 – 2024, Convener, Senate of Serampore College (University) from 2015 – 2024. He worked under the Government of Mizoram as Associate Professor in different government colleges in Mizoram, India from 1995-2015. He served as a Post Graduate Teacher in Mizoram and Guest Lecturer in various colleges. He was an Academic Counsellor for the programme of Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDHE), BA Psychology and MA Psychology at Indira Gandhi National Open University from 2010-2012.
Dr. Vansanglura was also involved in many non-profit organisation/associations for the upliftment of the society. He organised various social work programmes. He promoted national and international partnerships by signing as many as 15 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU’s). His hard work and dedication were recognised by various organisations by bestowing 13 prestigious awards. He has made various significant contributions and achievements in advancing education in India and elsewhere. He was also actively involved in numerous international linkage, collaboration and exchange programmes with various institutions in USA, Europe and Asia.
Dr. Vansanglura published two books and many articles in a book, journals, magazines and newspapers. He presented papers in national and international seminars. He was a member of the panel at the “Reforming Elementary Education in Mizoram” in the 10th Zoram Research Foundation ‘THINK-TANK DISCUSSION FORUM’ at SCERT, Aizawl, organized by Zoram Research Foundation, Mizoram.
