Bindeya Yakha holds a master’s degree in English Literature from North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), one of the prestigious and oldest central universities in North East India in Shillong, Meghalaya. She earned her bachelor’s degree with Honors in English Literature from Don Bosco College, Tura, Meghalaya, India.

With her keen interest in English and a passion for teaching, she took major in English during her bachelor’s degree. Throughout her academic journey, both in her undergraduate and Master’s programs, she focused not only on learning but also on developing her teaching skills. She has gained leadership experience, serving as a school counselor, house captain, sports coordinator, and program coordinator. Additionally, she has actively participated in seminars, delivered presentations in class, assisted professors with research, and even conducted her own research, making sure to leave no stone unturned in her professional growth.
To Bindeya, teaching is more than just imparting knowledge to students. She believes that it is about nurturing students, grooming them in a well-disciplined manner, and helping them develop mentally. She views her students as her own children, striving to shape them into productive and responsible citizens.
