Isha Rai, a Class XI Commerce student of Phuntsholing Higher Secondary School, bags the 1st prize in Rigter Essay Contest 2025.
Gyelsom Tenzin Lhadon (XI Science) of Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School wins the 2nd prize, and in the 3rd position is Sushmika Sharma of Norbugang Higher Secondary School.
Among the 117 entries received, the top five students (besides the top three winners) are awarded with consolation prizes and rest 25 top essay writers are issued with certificates.
In celebration of the 17th Coronation Day of His Majesty The King, Norbuling Rigter College had organized the Rigter Essay Contest on the theme, “Life and Legacy of The People’s King” among the senior students (Class XI and XII) of higher secondary schools in Bhutan. The primary objective of the essay contest was to empower young minds through writing.
