Student Representation in College Management
At Norbuling Rigter College, we believe in the strength of active student engagement in shaping our institution. Through an inclusive and transparent governance system, elected student representatives play a vital role on key management teams. Their contributions influence policies, enhance campus life, and drive institutional growth.
Student Presidents
Each year, Norbuling Rigter College elects two Student Presidents—one male and one female—through a democratic process involving both students and staff. These leaders, the highest decision making student representation, embody the values of the college, serving as ambassadors and advocates for student interests, both within the institution and beyond.
Coordinators
Student Coordinators, chosen through elections and merit-based appointments, manage critical areas such as campus clubs, sports, cultural events, dining services, and student welfare. There are two coordinators (a male and a female) each for Choedang Lamsoel (Cultural) Club, Rigter Tsongrig Club, Audiovisual Club, Y-PEER Club, Integrity and Audit Club, Games Club, Literary and Drama Club, Rovers Club, Bhutan Cancer Society Club, Waste Management Club, and Media and Democracy Club. There are also coordinators for the mess and the hostels (residences). By ensuring quality in college services, Coordinators facilitate creation of a vibrant, dynamic student experience in the college.
