Eligibility

Eligibility The overall entrance and progression of students is guided by “C1: Admission and registration of Students” I (p. 84-87) of “The Wheel of Academic Law” of the Royal University of Bhutan.

The minimum entrance requirement for different programmes is as below:

1 BBA and BCom Class XII passed students with a minimum of 40% each in Dzongkha/Rigzhung and Maths/Business Maths.
2 BA in English and Dzongkha Class XII passed students with a minimum of 50% each in Dzongkha/Rigzhung and English.
3 BA in Political Science and Sociology Class XII passed students with 50% aggregate average marks in the best four subjects and 50% in English.
4 BA in Development Studies Class XII passed students with a minimum of 40% in Dzongkha/Rigzhung and 50% in English.
5 BA in English Class XII passed students with a minimum of 40% in Dzongkha/Rigzhung and 55% in English.
Note:

  1. Fulfillment of the above criteria does not necessarily guarantee admission in Norbuling Rigter College. Admission will be based on the slots available.
  2. Admission is open to Science, Commerce and Arts Students.
  3. Students who have not studied Dzongkha/Rigzhung in class XII will have to pass a Dzongkha proficiency test.
